Rapsody Yachts introduces V-Foil®, a new proprietary foiling technology that eliminates trim, reduces water resistance for enhanced efficiency, stability, and speed.

The V-Foil® technology will debut on the all-new Rapsody R35 that will be launched this fall.

Invisible Lift

The V-Foil® technology provides the usual benefits of foiling but does so invisibly, allowing the yacht to retain its traditional beauty.

Unlike traditional foiling, where the vessel is lifted above the water, the V-Foil® elevates the boat within the water. This invisible lift preserves the signature aesthetic of the Rapsody hull.

Platform technology

The V-Foil® is a new type of foil, engineered in collaboration with Simonis Voogd Design exclusively to Rapsody. The technology is designed as a platform, which means it can also be applied to future Rapsody models.

“With this innovation, we have brought the sailing performance and efficiency of a catamaran into a monohull motorboat.”

– Diederik van Golen, Rapsody Yachts

Rapsody R35 V-Foil®

This fall, Rapsody will introduce the all-new R35, a completely new yacht with a design inspired on Rapsody’s long heritage. The R35 combines a signature silhouette with state-of-the-art V-Foil® technology.

The first images of the new silhouette will be unveiled at the HISWA in Lelystad.

Debut on the Dutch Yacht Show

Rapsody Yachts will be at the HISWA te Water in Lelystad from the 28th of August to the 1st of September. A 1:5 model of the underwater hull with V-Foil® technology will be on display for visitors throughout the show at the Rapsody stand G28.

Maarten Voogd, co-owner of Simonis Voogd Design and lead engineer of the V-Foil® will present the technology.
