Five days, countless conversations and a lot of great reactions. HISWA te Water 2026 was a special one for Rapsody. For the first time, we were able to show the finished Rapsody R35 V-Foil® to the public. After years of working on her behind the scenes, it was great to finally step back and hear what everyone else had to say.
We went to HISWA te Water with a boat we know inside out.
We know every line, every detail and every decision that went into the R35. We know the years of development behind the V-Foil®. We know the hours spent designing, calculating, building, testing and refining.
But there comes a point when you have to stop talking about what you’ve built and simply show it.
HISWA was that moment.
Finally, there for everyone to see
Until a few weeks ago, most people had only seen the R35 in renderings, development updates, videos and the first footage from the water.
At HISWA te Water, that changed. For the first time, the finished R35 V-Foil® was there for everyone to step aboard and see up close.
And that made the week special from the very first day.
There were questions about the V-Foil®. About the way she handles. About the interior, the materials and all the small details. People wanted to look underneath, step inside, sit behind the wheel and understand why we made certain choices.
Exactly the conversations we had hoped to have.
The reactions meant a lot
Of course, when you’ve spent years working on a new boat, you believe in what you’ve built.
But hearing it from someone seeing the R35 for the first time is different.
The amount of positive feedback we received throughout the week honestly meant a lot to us. From existing Rapsody owners and people who have followed the development from the beginning, to yacht designers, people from the industry and visitors who had never seen a Rapsody before.
Some came for the V-Foil®. Others were drawn to the lines of the boat or wanted to see the interior. And quite a few simply stopped on the dock to have a closer look.
That was great to see.
Not because we need everyone to tell us we’ve built a beautiful boat, but because so much work from so many people has gone into getting the R35 to this point.
Now, back to the water
HISWA may be over, but for the R35 this is really only the start.
The first R35 is now back in Enkhuizen, where sea trials are open for prospective owners.
And after five days of telling people what makes this boat different, we’re looking forward to doing what we prefer most:
Letting people experience it for themselves.
